What we help with

Practical help for the equipment in your home

We troubleshoot and support the equipment and devices you own. We cannot reach into your provider’s systems, and we will tell you when something has to go to them.

Router & modem troubleshooting

Lights blinking, no connection, or a router that keeps dropping? We walk through diagnosis and fixes step by step.

Wi-Fi coverage & speed

Dead zones, weak signal upstairs, slow video calls. We help improve placement, channels and settings.

Devices that will not connect

Phones, laptops, smart TVs, printers and smart-home gear that refuse to join or keep disconnecting.

Setup & configuration

Setting up a new router or mesh system, renaming your network, and adding devices safely.

Network security basics

Stronger Wi-Fi passwords, WPA3, guest networks, updating firmware, and changing default admin logins.

Plan & equipment questions

Understand speeds, equipment costs and what to compare. Information only, with no sales pressure.

How it works

From first call to clear answer

  1. 1

    You call us

Reach TKBNet at (833) 581-4309. We confirm you are speaking with an independent company and explain any fees up front.

  2. 2

    We understand the problem

We ask what is happening, which devices are affected, and what your equipment lights show.

  3. 3

    We troubleshoot together

A technician guides you through tests and fixes on your own equipment, in plain language.

  4. 4

    Clear outcome

You leave knowing what was fixed, what was not, and what to take to your provider if the issue is on their side.

Try it yourself first

What is happening with your internet?

Pick the closest match for quick first checks. Many problems clear up without a call.

  1. Run a speed test with a laptop plugged in by Ethernet cable.
  2. If the wired result is fine, the issue is your Wi-Fi: move closer, or reposition the router.
  3. Pause large downloads and backups, and disconnect unused devices.
  4. Restart modem and router in the correct order.
  5. Still slow on a cable? That points to the line or plan, which is a question for your provider.
  1. Check whether one device or every device drops.
  2. Forget the network on the affected device and rejoin it.
  3. Look for loose or damaged cables and reseat each connector.
  4. Check for router overheating: keep it open and ventilated.
  5. Update the router firmware and device software.
  1. Check that the router has power and its status lights are on.
  2. Look at the internet or WAN light. A warning color can mean no incoming signal.
  3. Try a wired connection to separate Wi-Fi faults from internet faults.
  4. Restart modem first, then router, waiting 2 to 3 minutes each.
  5. No signal from the line? Contact your provider, who can check the outage and line.
  1. Move the router higher and more central, out of cabinets.
  2. Keep it away from microwaves, mirrors and large metal objects.
  3. Switch weak rooms to the 2.4 GHz band for range.
  4. Add a mesh node or wired access point halfway to the dead spot.
  5. Prefer wired backhaul when you can run a cable.

Common questions

Before you call

Are you my internet provider?

No. TKBNet is an independent company. We are not an internet provider, are not affiliated with any provider, and are not an official provider support department.

Is it free to call?

We explain any fees before they apply. Please read our Disclosures and Refund Policy.

Can you fix an outage?

Outages and line faults are on the provider's side. We can help you confirm whether the problem is inside your home, and what to tell your provider.

Do you need remote access to my computer?

Only if you agree, and only when it helps. You are asked for consent first and can end the session at any time.

What should I have ready?

Your equipment nearby, a description of what is happening, and which devices are affected. Never share passwords or full card numbers unless paying an agreed fee through a secure method.

Prefer to talk it through?

Call Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm Eastern. Please know before you call: you are reaching an independent assistance service, and we will explain any fees before they apply.
